Hadi Hemmati

Hadi is an Associate Professor in Software Engineering at Electrical and Computer Engineering department, University of Calgary. He also holds an adjunct position at computer science department, University of Manitoba, where he used to work prior to joining UCalgary in Jan 2017.

Somayeh Modaberi

Somayeh is a PhD student at University of Calgary, and she is interested in Machine Learning and Software Testing. She got her MSc degree in Information Technology from Amirkabir University of technology, and her BSc in Computer Science form Tabriz University.

Amin Abedi

Amin is an MSc student at University of Calgary, and he is interested in Machine Learning and Software Engineering. He is now working on Machine Learning Operations. Before, he received his bachelor's degree in Software Engineering from Sharif University of Technology.

Ehsan Mashhadi

Ehsan is an MSc student at the University of Calgary, and he is interested in Software Engineering and Machine Learning. He is now working on Test Generation techniques. Before, he received his MSc degree in Information Technology Engineering from the Sharif University of Technology, and his BSc degree in Software Engineering from the University of Isfahan.\

Armin Zirak

Armin is an MSc student at University of Calgary who is interested in Machine Learning Engineering and Data Science. He is now working on Robust AI/DL. Before, he received his bachelor's degree from University of Tehran.

Foozhan Ataiefard

Foozhan is a Msc student in SEA lab researching new ways of detecting anomalous behavior in self-driving cars. He got his bachelor's in computer science from Amirkabir university of technology. He is interested in computer vision and deep Learning.

Emad Jabbar

Emad is a first-year MSc student in SEA Lab. He received his bachelor's degree in Software Engineering from the University of Tehran. He is interested in machine learning and NLP. His current research focus is on learning vector-space representations of program behavior.

Parisa Saat

Parisa is a master’s student in Software Engineering at the University of Calgary, working under the supervision of Dr. Hadi Hemmati and Dr. Roberto Souza. She received her B.Sc. degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Tehran. She is interested in applications of machine learning in healthcare and developing robust and generalized machine learning methods for medical applications. Her research is on domain adaption techniques for medical images. She’s specifically working with brain magnetic resonance imaging segmentation.

Amin Eslami

Amin is a MSc student in Software Engineering at University of Calgary. He received his bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology. He is interested in machine learning and its applications on mobile devices.

Ahmad Hajimohammadkhani

Ahmad is an MSc student at the University of Calgary and received his BSc degree at the Sharif University of Technology. He is interested in Natural Language Processing and Deep Learning models in that field and currently is working on Explainable AI in software engineering DL models, focusing on NL-PL models.

Sepehr Hashtroudi

Sepehr is an MSc student at the University of Calgary who is interested in Machine Learning and Data Science. He is now working on Applications of ML in Software Eng such as Program Repair and Test Generation. Before, he received his MSc degree from AmirKabir University of technology.

Nadun Wijesinghe

Nadun is a part time MSc student at SEA lab, currently doing his research on failure prediction in cloud systems using execution log analysis. His research interests include deep learning, NLP and log parsing. He completed his BSc in Electrical Engineering at the University of Calgary, and is currently working as a Senior Software Developer at Ledn.io.

Shayan Zamani

Shayan is an MSc Student in Software Engineering. He holds a bachelor in Petroleum Engineering from Sharif University of Technology in Tehran, Iran. His current research is about investigating the effectiveness of hyperparameters’ tuning on different problems in SE specifically search-based software testing.

Mohammad Jafar Mashhadi

Mohammad Jafar (MJ) has done his MSc on Specification Mining and Software Testing here at SEA lab. His research is in collaboration with Micropilot Inc, the world leader manufacturer of UAV autopilot software and hardware. He completed his bachelor of Software Engineering at Sharif University of Technology in 2017. He is also a co-founder and technical director of Nivad Cloud startup.

Soheila Zangeneh

Soheila is a MSc student in SEA Lab. She got her bachelor in Software Engineering at K.N.Toosi University of Technology in Tehran-Iran. She is interested in machine learning and its application in software engineering area. Currently, her research focus is test case generation and she is applying Deep Learning to automatically create test cases.

Maryam Vahdat Pour

Maryam is Master’s student in SEA Lab. She received her bachelor’s in Computer Science at University of Tehran, Tehran, Iran. Currently, She is mainly focused on the Tensor-flow ecosystem and is trying to find the most important challenges machine learning developers face in this ecosystem and try to come up with Software Engineering solutions for instance about debugging, version control, and program comprehension.

Internship: 6 months Internship at LocalIntel Inc. An Interactive Semi-Automatic Tool for Integeration of Geo-spatial Datasets Desc: Goal of this project is to make an interactive semi-automated tool which can help the domain expert merge a new geospatial dataset with the database in a GIS system.
